8/9 AKDesigns Boutique Weekly Update

Hello Everyone!

Yay ~ today is the first day of school here and I already feel more productive :) Welcome to our new followers and Hello to everyone else!!

Summer is officially over...I've enjoyed the time I was able to spend with my daughter, my family and my girlfriends, but it's time to get back to work! I also spent more time than normal in my yard this summer and it paid off ~ we were awarded Yard of the Month for July by our HOA! It was very unexpected since that wasn't the ever our goal, but very nice to be rewarded for the hard work :)

The vinyl machine arrived last Tuesday and my husband spent the weekend setting it up and playing with it. We've received a ton of positive feedback and a lot of requests, so now we just need to get busy and see what we can come up with! I've already made a couple "Ready to Cut Vinyl Artwork" designs that I'll be getting up on the website in the new week. Keep the ideas and requests coming!

7/26 AKDesigns Boutique Weekly Update

Hello Everyone!

WOW, has it been a crazy, busy summer! It amazes me how quickly the weeks are flying by and how little I'm able to accomplish :) Luckily, even though I'm not accomplishing much for my business, my house and family are in good shape! It seems like I can keep track of one or the other, but seldom both at the same time [I'm sure I'm not alone!]. Some of you are probably wondering why I started doing these Weekly Updates a few weeks ago. Well, the fact is I don't have time send a yahoo group message, post in my blog, post on facebook, and tweet on twitter for every new product or promotion, so I've decided that the weekly update would save me some time so that I could actually accomplish more. So, I hope you like it because it is saving me time and I plan to continue with it until I find a better solution.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far. It will be over before we know it, so let's all make the most of it ~ go to the pool, take a ride on your bike, or just relax out on your deck in the evening :)

AKDesigns Weekly Update

Hello Everyone!

First of all ~ Welcome to all of our new blog followers, feedburner readers, Facebook fan page followers, and yahoo group members! Wow - summer is a busy, busy time. I am enjoying my summer so far, but am not accomplishing all that I would like. My daughter is taking care of the kids next door this summer and I have been working in her place when she needs the day off. I'm working for her today because it's her birthday and she wants to hang out with her friends. I worked for her on Monday too while she was at the beach with a girlfriend. It makes for such a nice, relaxing day hanging out and running around with the kids [even going to the pool!], but it's so hard to get anything done other than answer all my e-mails that come in throughout the day and night. In addition to helping Allie out, I have so, so many summer projects around that house that I would like to complete and those cut into my work time as well. Anyway, I suspect this is about what the summer has in store for me, so I will just embrace it :)

Our Yahoo Group was started to help with all of your embroidery projects from where to get the best blanks to choosing the right needle, so ask questions and help others as needed and as you can! If you aren't a member ~ join today. I hope you find our group helpful and friendly.
